Coaches, thank you for volunteering your time to be a part of our program and having an impact in these player's lives. As part of this commitment, there are a few items we have implemented as a club, that are part of TSSA policy, or that are state law, that we must ask you to take before you can begin practicing with the players.
If you have coached with us before, you know you have had to complete the annual risk certifications for SafeSport and concussion as well as an annual background check. After several comments of going to three different websites to complete these, TSSA has transitioned and is now utilizing the US Soccer Federations Safe Soccer certification. This is all completed under the US Soccer Learning Center and will include the SafeSport and concussion trainings, and includes additional trainings that are very important for today's coaches to be aware of. All adult participates with PSC are required to take this course before they are allowed contact with the players. This includes coaches, players, referees, and board members.
If you have a current referee certification or coaching license, you will already have an account in the US Soccer Learning Center. If not, you will need to create an account.
MAKE SURE WHEN SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT THAT YOU USE THE SAME LEGAL NAME AND ADDRESS YOU USE FOR OUR WEBSITE. To access the website, click the link below or use the QR code to join the PSC group.

Once there, you will see that there are three phases required to complete the Safe Soccer course. The total time to complete the course will be around 3 hours for the first time and then 2 hours for each subsequent year. You must complete Phase 1 before Phase 2 will open, and Phase 2 before Phase 3 will open. You do not have to complete all modules in one sitting, but you must complete the all before practices begin. The modules are as follows:
Phase 1
SafeSport - 90 minutes for year 1, 30 minutes for years 2-4. This is good for 1 year from the date of completion.
Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments (concussion, cardiac, weather) - 30 minutes. This is good for 1 year from the date of completion.
**Please note, if you completed your Safe Sport certification last season or for another sport, that certificate does still apply. If it does not automatically show that module as completed, select the link that allows you to enter your certificate number, and it will import it for you.
Phase 2
Positive Soccer Environments - 30 minutes. This is good for 1 year from the date of completion.
Soccer for All (diversity) - 30 minutes. This is good for 1 year from the date of completion.
Phase 3
Background check - 10 minutes. This is now good for 2 years.
If you are asked to pay for the background check that means you did not use the link above. Use the link and log into your profile, then request the background check and it should not ask you to pay.If you have any issues or questions, please reach out to
