Portland Soccer Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting two US Soccer Grassroots coaching courses in July. In these courses coaches will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players of varying ages. 

PSC worked with the Director of Coaching for TN, Sammy Giraldo, to bring these classes to Portland. We encourage all of our coaches - or those who have considered coaching - to give these courses a shot. Once a candidate completes both the 9v9 and 11v11 Grassroots courses they are then a certified US Soccer Grassroots coach. The US Soccer Grassroots program champions the two concepts of Fun and Development and that's a philosophy PSC wants to adopt.

To become a US Soccer Grassroots certified coach you need to first complete the Pre-requisite Free Online Intro Course HERE

Once you complete that you can sign up for the US Soccer 9v9 and 11v11 Courses below. The in-person portion of the 9v9 and 11v11 will take place on the same day. Completing the Intro Course, the 9v9, and the 11v11 Grassroots courses will certify you as a US Soccer Grassroots coach. Sign up for both and knock them out at once.
